libpinyin4 software package provides library to deal with PinYin, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpinyin4
libpinyin4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpinyin4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpinyin4 *
You will get with libpinyin4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
